Use case
The check gets paid at the table. No waiting on the server.
The guest scans the table QR, sees the check, and pays with Apple Pay or Google Pay in four seconds. You get the money straight to your bank account through Stripe.
Paying is the moment a happy guest turns into an impatient one: waiting for the server, waiting for the terminal, waiting for change, waiting for a receipt. Crubby Pay removes all of it. The guest opens the table QR, sees exactly what they ordered, picks how to pay — Apple Pay, Google Pay, card — and confirms with a biometric tap. The register books the sale, the server watches the table turn green — the whole thing in about 30 seconds, with zero friction.

Frequently asked questions
Are the fees transparent?+
Yes. Stripe charges about 2.9% + 30¢ on US cards (about 1.4% + €0.25 on European cards). Crubby doesn't add a markup on top of Stripe on the Pro and Premium plans — the monthly fee covers the service.
What if the guest doesn't have a modern smartphone?+
The server closes out on the regular terminal — nothing changes. Crubby Pay is opt-in for guests who want to pay from their phone; it never blocks the ones who don't.
Can I still take cash?+
Yes. The server marks 'paid in cash' in the Crubby POS and the system closes the table. Pay is one of the methods, not the only one.
Do guests trust paying from their phone?+
Apple Pay and Google Pay are seen as safer than a swiped card — no card number shared, biometric authentication. Conversion runs about 30% higher than a classic form.
Can I see payments in real time?+
Yes. The payments view shows every payment as it comes in, with filters by table, method, amount, and tip. Export to CSV for your accountant.
